A fabulous weekend away in Rome filled me with awe and offered Roman garden inspiration. I was struck by the incredible and beautiful architecture both old and new – the wonderful geometry and proportions of the Pantheon contrasted dramatically with the contemporary MAXXI art gallery designed by Zaha Hadid. I returned with photos of fantastical water features, arches, beautiful slender bricks, the ancient drains at the bottom of the Spanish steps…and slot drains at the MAXXI art gallery! I did take the occasional shot of my loved one … who was equally happy and transfixed photographing car headlights in blue-lit tunnels!
