Visiting a nursery at this time of year provides a valuable insight into the amazing autumnal colours and textures that can be found – you are also able to see which trees/shrubs hold on to their autumnal leaves well into the season. Last week I headed to The Place For Plants, East Bergholt to collect some plants and see if I could find any particularly gorgeous trees with autumnal colours to include in future planting schemes and autumn colour garden designs.
The following caught my eye – Acer rubrum October Glory (20m high x 10m spread); Acer rubrum Sun Valley (11m high x 6m Spread); Quercus shumardii (20m high x 12m spread).
